Gordon's Bay

Gordons BayGordon's Bay is a small, picturesque seaside town nestled at the foot of the Hot- tentots Holland Mountains at the eastern end of False Bay.

The beachfront promenade is lined with popular fish restaurants, pubs and coffee shops.

In the old harbour, one can take boat trips or deep sea fishing trips in the False Bay. Visitors can browse around the curio and gift shops dotted along the beach front for unusual crafts.

The climate has a winter rainfall and mild sea and air temperature throughout the year. The south easter or "Cape Doctor" affords welcome relief from the heat in summer.

Gordons BayGordon's Bay is beaches namely Main and Bikini Beaches are renowned for the safe bathing attracting happy sun worshippers. Pleasure trips on luxury yachts and cruisers are available from the two harbours while Steenbras Dam is sought after as a picnic spot.

A short drive from Gordon's Bay is the Helderberg Wine Route and brewery. Over Sir Lowry's Pass is the fruit route at Elgin and Grabouw.

Several walks and trails can be found. Visit the village on the Danie Miller trail, explore the historic cannon an wagon wheel walk at Sir Lowry's pass and finally dip in the Crystal Pools up in the Steenbras Valley.

Various sporting activities are on offer such as deep-sea diving and angling.
